I’d love to know what God has been stirring in your heart and I’d love to pray for you!
In my next post I’ll share ideas for how you can recruit women to fill these roles. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss the next post!

Dear Cyndee
I find it a blessing getting to know this site. Our Women’s ministry is currently not running. I have been praying to God for many ladies to join so we can all serve God together.
Praying that we’ll be able to resume soon by the grace of God.
I have learnt so much that i feel quite overwhelmed. I give glory to God.
Davida, thank you for your sweet and encouraging words. Praying God will stir up a desire for women’s ministry in your church!
I’m so grateful to find your resource but it’s overwhelming. I’ve had a rollercoaster ride as a women’s ministry leader at my church for several years. The team sort of fell together; One woman, who is passionate about the monthly brunches and a women who teaches Sunday school and myself as the Adult Discipleship co-deacon. The church secretary is a huge support but not on “the team”. The other two women are older. We all have strong personalities and I have really struggled with unclear expectations of my role and the roles of the team. I’d prefer to just be in charge of everything because the discussions via emails almost always leave me in tears. Getting together is difficult b/c of schedules and is mostly for the purpose of planning. I thought I’d spare us the trouble and just plan events this fall and winter, but it has backfired and caused confusion and upset feelings.
I’d love your prayers for God’s wisdom, grace, peace and purpose fulfilled in an attitude of unity on our team, for his glory to grow the women of our small church in His truth for his glory.
Oh, Amanda! My heart hurts for you. Women’s Ministry can be overwhelming. Praying for you and I’m going to send you an email directly too. <3
this is wondering
Thank you for sharing, what is the role of a financial secretary in women ministry?
Bridget, great question! I’ve found it’s very helpful to keep track within the women’s ministry team what and how money is spent. I was on a team that did zero tracking internally and we were always having to ask the Church Treasurer what was spent and how much money was left in our budget. Not only was it time consuming, but it really was our responsibility to keep up with our expenditures and we weren’t doing so. I always felt guilty asking! And nothing slows down a decision or meeting like having to wait until the next month to find out if there’s money to spend!
How do you form a marketing team
Terri, it’s rather unusual for a women’s ministry team to form a marketing team. They are more likely to have someone in charge of publicity that works with the church staff to publicize events and activities. Teams might also choose to have a Social Media Coordinator to manage the women’s ministry Facebook page, Facebook group, or Instagram account. I hope that helps!
Thank you for taking the time to post this. It is indeed a blessing!
Thank you Funmi! So glad you found it helpful! 🙂
