Faith & Fun IF Icebreaker Questions
Formerly titled, Christian IF Icebreaker Questions
These faith and fun icebreaker “If” questions are a great way to encourage faith-focused conversations at your next Women’s Ministry fellowship, small group meeting, or team meeting.
Faith questions (If you could witness any miracle from the Bible firsthand, which one would you choose?) are sprinkled among fun hypotheticals (If you won $10,000, what would you spend it on?).
I’m always amazed at what seemingly random questions will reveal about a person. Who knew Linda always wanted to take a mission trip to Thailand!? Who would have guessed that Miss Bettie has a secret longing for a red convertible!?
Discover something new about the women in your church as you answer these Faith & Fun IF Icebreaker Questions.
Just print the question cards out (link below) and you’ll be ready to go!
GAME: Faith and Fun IF Icebreaker Questions
CARDS: There are 20 faith questions and 8 fun questions.
If your group is made up of committed followers of Christ, you may enjoy using only the faith
questions to spark deeper spiritual conversations.
BEFORE THE GAME: Print and cut apart the game cards. Select the cards you want to use with
your group.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Say to the group, “Today/tonight you’re going to get to know the members of our group a
little better as we all answer some faith and fun ‘IF’ questions. We’ll take turns drawing a card
and answering questions such as:
- If you could spend an entire day any way you wanted to, what would you do?
- If you had to choose one book of the Bible to read for a whole year, which one would it be?
- If Jesus joined you for breakfast, what would you talk about?
(If you’re only using the faith questions, you may wish to say IF faith-themed questions and only
read the last two examples.)
Please go ahead a take a card from the bag/pile. Do we have a volunteer who would like to go
first?”
2. Once everyone has answered a question, you are done.
OPTIONS:
- Consider putting one card at each person’s chair/space before your meeting/group/event begins. Most will appreciate having some time to think about their response (though you run the risk of missing out on spontaneous answers).
- If time permits, have everyone draw a second card.
- Rather than drawing cards, ask everyone to answer the same question.
TIPS:
- You may want to laminate the cards for repeated use.
- Give players the option of drawing a second card if they are uncomfortable answering the first question they have drawn.

If love to use these ideas. They’re great
Thank you, Deb! 🙂
I’d love to use the If question cards at my next Bible Study. How do I get them?
Hi Deb, just click the link. 🙂
Appreciate this type of format.
🙂 Thank you!
Thank you for generously sharing these ice breakers. We are a new church start & ladies are getting together for the first time to get to know each other.
You’re welcome! I hope your group enjoys them!
Thank you so much for sharing your talent and resources with us. God Bless!
Thank you, Tasha!<3
I’d love an editable version so I can customize it a bit. I try to stay away from the living or dead questions when groups are just getting to know each other. I don’t want to send anyone down an emotional spiral if they recently lost someone.
Gina – great point -one I had obviously not thought of. You can easily leave that card out and just use the others.
Excellent tool!!
Thanks Trish! I love creating icebreakers for you all! 🙂
