Not Your Typical Women’s Bible
I’ll admit, when I received the opportunity to review a copy of the new CSB (Christian Standard Bible) Women’s Study Bible, I was a bit hesitant. Was this going to be another overly feminine, pink Bible for women stuffed with devotionals written by famous Christian authors? Thankfully not!
The content, depth, and details that are available in the CSB Women’s Study Bible pleasantly surprised me.
Who is this Bibe for?
Bible Study Girls: This study Bible provides study notes, maps, explanations, photos, and more to help you better understand God’s Word.
Bible Readers: If you’re reading through the Bible, the study notes will aid in your understanding of what’s happening in each passage. If you need a reading plan to follow, you’ll find a three-year and a one-year reading plan in the back of the book.
Women: I was thrilled to see mature, feminine touches without an abundance of girly graphics and colors. The graphics included have an air of sophistication about them, marking this Bible as a serious Bible study tool.
What are the features of the CSB Bible?
This edition is a hardback version with a beautiful floral cover. It would make a great gift!
I prefer to study the Bible inductively using in READ Bible Study method and was very pleased to see this Bible is packed with the information I’m looking for. I can easily answer the “w” questions (who wrote it, when was it written, who was it written to, etc.) There are solid introductions to each book of the Bible, and key concepts are explained throughout the text.

The Christian biographies included are an encouraging example of discipleship and remind us of God’s transforming work in the lives of other believers throughout church history.
I almost overlooked the color-drenched title pages of each book. Not only are they pretty, but they also make it easier to locate books of the Bible as you are flipping through the pages.
And the font size—it’s perfect! It’s a generous 9.5 point font. The study notes are readable too.
Who contributed to this Bible?
As I mentioned, this Bible is not filled with devotionals and encouraging quotes from your favorite Christian authors (though you may recognize a handful of the contributor’s names).
A team of highly educated women contributed to this project. Almost all hold a PhD, MDiv, or Masters degree. The content is theologically rich, yet understandable.

Thank you for your comments/review concerning the CSB Women’s Bible. Because of time consuming schedules, it’s sometimes difficult to dig into all of the information concerning Bibles and Bible Studies, so an honest review is certainly a blessing. We just finished a 6-week study on Bible Translations, so this would be a welcomed addition to read and study. Also, thank you for all of the information you so faithfully share with us. This sounds like a great resource Bible and I would love to own it. I wore out my Women’s a devotional Bible years ago and my current study Bible with commentary weighs about 40 pounds! I teach Ladies SS class as well as Women’s Ministry Director and bought your first book several years ago. I truly enjoy opening Facebook and reading everyone’s posts!

How do you feel about the CSB translation? I generally teach from ESV or KJV. How does this stack up? Id love to have something to share with my Titus 2 ladies!
Love this Study Bible! I really struggled to get anything besides a KJV for studying, but was so happy when I decided to give this one a try.
