Meet our four workshop leaders:

Shanda Fulbright

Apologetics Teacher, Podcast Host

Shanda Fulbright is a wife, boy mom to three boys, and the host of Her Faith Inspires podcast where she takes cultural issues and tackles them with biblical truth. She is the co-author of Let’s Get Real: Examining the evidence for God with Dr. Frank Turek of CrossExamined.org. She teaches students of all ages Christian apologetics and stresses the importance of biblical literacy as the path to a biblical worldview.

Workshop: Loving God With Your Mind

We live in an emotionally driven culture that emphasizes feelings as the path to knowing truth. Is our relationship with God the same? Do we have to feel God to know Him? Shanda is going to walk you through what it means to love God with all your mind and why it’s important to remember that the heart must follow the head, regardless of what the culture says.

Amanda Goodman

Seasoned Women’s Ministry Leader

Amanda has lived in Charlotte, NC for nine years. She is married to David and they have an 11-year-old daughter named Brianna. Amanda has served in women’s ministry for about 10 years. God has given Amanda a passion for mental health. She is a mental health advocate and a speaker who shares how God has given her a story to share for His Glory.

Workshop: My Story for God’s Glory

We will discuss the importance of sharing your story for God’s glory. How can part of your story help others with their relationship with Jesus? The session will empower women to love and serve all women in the church but focus on those with mental health concerns. It is important to focus on the combination of Jesus and the Word, prayer, therapy, and medicine when dealing with mental health concerns.

Becky Seamon

Women’s Ministry Director, West Cabarrus Church

Becky is a Christian writer and speaker. She has been in ministry for 36 years. Currently, she is the Director of Women’s Ministry at West Cabarrus Church, a Walk thru the Bible National Instructor, and founder and president of High Heels at His Feet, where she gives “Encouraging words for your everyday life from a Biblical Perspective.”

Workshop: How to Keep Going When Ministry is Hard

Sometimes ministry is stinkin’ hard! In this workshop, we will learn how to thrive, not just survive, even on our difficult days. We will unpack the model given by Christ himself. We will also learn practical steps on how to balance ministry and work (without losing your mind!) You will walk away renewed, refreshed, and ready to lead!

Jerijo Cox

Pastor’s wife, Women’s Ministry Director, Concord Baptist Church, Anderson, SC

Jerijo has served as a volunteer Women’s Ministry Director in each of their 3 pastorates over a span of 37 years. She has also served as the Director of the Pendergraph Women’s Ministry at Southern Seminary for 3 years. Jerijo and her visionary team launched and maintain a Women’s Mentoring Ministry (now in its 4th year) which has resulted in numerical and spiritual growth.

How to Launch a Mentoring Ministry in Your Church

Are you thinking of starting a mentoring ministry in your church? Jerijo Cox will share the details of how their church selected, launched, and has sustained their mentoring ministry. You’ll be inspired by stories of the impact it has had on individuals, families, and the church.

Hi! I’m Cyndee Ownbey.

Over the years I’ve heard leaders lament the few women’s ministry conferences they’ve been able to find don’t offer what they really need – practical ideas and advice they can tailor to their women’s ministry program.

As a veteran women’s ministry leader (20+ years), I get it. I’ve served in the women’s ministry program in five churches, of varying church denominations and sizes. I understand the unique challenges of women’s ministry.

I’ve longed for someone or something to anchor our team and our ministry to keep us from aimlessly drifting about as we try to figure things out on our own.

When do early-bird tickets sales end?

Early-bird pricing will end on December 31, 2022. The price will increase to $99.

Where is the conference being hosted?

West Cabarrus Church in Concord, NC. It is located right outside of Charlotte and off I-85 between Concord Mills Mall and the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

What time will the event start and end?

Doors will open on Friday evening at 6:30 PM. Saturday morning doors will open at 8:30 AM and we’ll finish at 3 PM.

Are meals included?

A boxed lunch, water, and snacks will be included. Gluten-free and vegetarian options will be available. Friday night dinner and Saturday breakfast are on your own. There are a variety of restaurants close by.

Can I bring my team?

Yes! We’d love for your whole team to attend. We will encourage you to sit with other leaders so you can glean ideas and wisdom from others in attendance.

What is the refund policy if I’m unable to attend for some reason?

Tickets are not refundable, however, they are transferable.

The original ticket holder is responsible for finding a replacement and arranging payment. Please notify Cyndee Ownbey (cyndee@womensministrytoolbox.com) as soon as possible of any changes.

We will be unable to change lunch selections or update directory information after February 11, 2023.

Will recordings be available for purchase?

Unfortunately, at this time we are not planning to record the event.

When will I select my workshop and will they be recorded?

While seating will be limited, you’ll be able to choose your workshops on the day of the event. We plan to make MP3 recordings of the workshops available to attendees.

Do you have recommendations for lodging?

Yes! The Conference team will be reserving blocks of hotels. There are many hotels, including Great Wolf Lodge, near the church property.

What’s the closest airport?

You’ll most likely fly into Charlotte Douglas International airport. Allegiant Airlines offers limited flights into the Concord Regional Airport.

What is there to do nearby?

Concord Mills Mall, shopping, and a large variety of restaurants are all nearby. A list of recommendations will be provided prior to the conference.
