Are you, your team, or your women feeling empty after two long years of constant pivots?
Maybe your team has poured out everything trying to keep your women connected even when you couldn’t meet together.
Or maybe your team is running on empty having worked fast and hard to relaunch your women’s ministry program now that you can finally meet again.
We’ve all experienced seasons of feeling empty and needing to reconnect with God.
CTA – Christ to All has a new resource that offers refreshment to all of us – Fill Your Cup.
Fill Your Cup offers beautiful resources:
- Gifts for the attendees at a women’s or Mother’s Day event
- Retreat materials for a spring retreat
- Door prizes for a game night
- A devotional for a fellowship night
- Thank you gifts for team members
- Gifts celebrating your pastor’s wives
One of the things I love most about the product lines from CTA is that each one is anchored in scripture.
The focus verse for Fill Your Cup is Romans 15:13, “The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.”
As it says in the introduction to the Leader’s Retreat Planning Guide, “Our Savior promises to fill you with joy and peace – not just give you a taste or a splash. He gives his people so much that they are filled to the brim!”
The Fill Your Cup resources are also visually refreshing! The full-color photographs of the flowers inside a cup with a lavender, blue, and green color scheme will appeal to women of all ages.
I suspect your team needs a little extra help right now planning events.
So many of us are finding navigating daily life exhausting. You might not have time to book a speaker or write your own materials. That’s okay!
The Fill Your Cup Leader’s Retreat Planning Guide has detailed instructions and plans that will make planning a spring retreat or fellowship easy!
Pick and choose from the 5 sessions:
- Sparkling Clean
- Filled to the Brim
- What’s in Your Cup?
- Mix and Match
- I’ll Take It to Go
Use them all for a 1 or 2-day retreat (away or at your church) or divide them up and use one session per week or one each month.
What You Need to Know
You’ll want every woman to have their own copy of the Café Journal.
Each session invites women to focus on a short scripture passage. There are discussion questions (titled Sip and Reflect) and an activity that ties in with the theme.
The Leader’s Retreat Planning Guide also includes additional activity ideas including icebreaker games, service project ideas, and crafts. They’ve truly thought of everything you could need.
The team at CTA has made publicizing your event easy too!
There’s a free digital resource pack that contains printable and fillable PDFs:
- Devotional
- Bulletin Cover
- Invitation Postcard
- Flyer
- Name Badge
- Water Bottle Label
- Cupcake Topper
- Table Tent
- Stationery
- Printable artwork for picture frames
- Theme Art
There’s no need to create publicity or decorative materials from scratch.
Rethink Your Retreat Bags
At our last retreat, the ladies on the team decided to forgo the traditional retreat bag of goodies that our women would receive at check-in.
Instead, each woman was handed a personalized, hand-written note with their room key (you could use these beautiful coordinating notecards).
Inside our meeting space, the team placed a gift at each seat before the start of each session. Our ladies loved it! Women couldn’t wait to see what was waiting for them each time they entered the room.
You could do something similar with the gift items from the Fill Your Cup collection. Gift the Café Journal and pen set at the start of session 1, the Drink Coasters after the next break, and then Take-Along Inspirational Cards before your last session. Packets of tea and honey sticks could round out the rest.
Even if you’re not hosting a retreat, you could place a coaster at each table setting, underneath the Fill Your Cup mug. Your team could hand each woman a pack of the Take-Along Inspirational Cards as they exit.
Gifts for Your Planning Team
Be sure to set aside a little bit of your budget to thank your team members. At your first planning meeting, consider giving each team member one of the heavy-duty file folders. I love that there are 3 different designs (in the set of 6) each with its own scripture reference.
- Joy folder: The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. Romans 15:13 KJV
- Love folder: Let us love one another: for love is of God. 1 John 4:7 KJV
- Peace folder: Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 KJV
Your women will use these file folders again and again – they are beautiful and sturdy!
In this retreat, your women will learn about God’s gracious gifts that fill up our lives and overflow into the lives of those around us. Love, forgiveness, peace, and hope are given to us through our Savior, Jesus.
