Christmas Resource Review: Love’s Pure Light

I’m always on the lookout for fresh, new Christmas ideas.

Using the same format or event idea every Christmas can start to feel a little bit tired and tends to attract the same group of women. Even a minor tweak can make a difference!

As you can imagine, I jumped at the opportunity to the newest women’s ministry Christmas line from CTA, Inc. Below you’ll find my complete Christmas resource review of Love’s Pure Light.

Love’s Pure Light invites you to share the light of the newborn Savior, Jesus, with the women in your church and community this Christmas.

The focus verse is 1 John 1:5, “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

While 1 John 1:5 is not a verse that typically comes to mind when I think about Christmas, the products and the devotional (which you can download for free here) tie it beautifully together. Because it is so different, it will capture the attention of your women, and they will remember it. This is a message they aren’t likely to hear in church on Sunday.

Focusing on the light in a dark world seems especially fitting this year.

Ornaments

I continue to be impressed with the quality of items I’ve received from CTA, Inc. I might have expected the ornaments to be flimsy and fragile – but they are not! The beads at the bottom are firmly attached to a strong backing, and a gold ribbon will allow your women to place it right on their tree. CTA, Inc. even includes organza gift bags for each ornament.

The Digital Event Guide suggests handing out ornaments to every woman in your church along with an invitation to your Christmas event. What a memorable way to invite women to an event! (I wish I had thought of this idea myself.)

Spiral Journal Notebook

I love a great journal, and again, CTA, Inc. delivers! The cover features that beautiful metallic copper that you have to see in person to appreciate. Each page is lined with space at the top to add the date. There is room for prayers at the bottom. My focus is drawn back to Christ with the featured scripture inscribed on the bottom of every page. I’m picky about my journals, and these check all the boxes!

Glass Candle Holder

My favorite take-home favor is the glass candle holder. I tend to lean towards more transparent candle holders, but this one is special. When you put a candle inside (even a battery-operated candle works), the light shines through the scripture verse. It’s such a neat effect!

You could order glass candle holders to use in the décor on each table and then give them away as door prizes at the end of your event.

Devotional Card Set

The Devotional Card Set is a unique alternative to the traditional devotional book. These 12 beautiful laminated cards will be a great reminder of your event for your women. The cards contain scripture verses, prayers, activity suggestions, and encouragement. Though small in size (perfect to carry in your pocketbook), these cards are packed with great content.
