Mother’s Day is fast approaching!
Has your team decided how you’ll bless and honor the women in your church yet this year?

Even if we’re unable to gather together for worship, Mother’s Day provides a great opportunity to acknowledge and bless all of the women in your church.
In light of the coronavirus, many churches are making alternate plans.
Teams are planning to:
- Leave gifts on front porches.
- Offer a pick-up option at their church.
- Combine Mother’s and Father’s Day celebrations in June.
- Host virtual tea time via Zoom with door prizes.
- Create special video messages from the children in their church.
No matter what you choose to do, your women will appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Trying to find budget-friendly, quality gifts for all of the women in your church can be challenging!

I recently had the opportunity to review the Woman of God® line from CTA, Inc. They have an abundance of ideas and options for Mother’s Day gifts that you’ll want to check out!
The theme of the Woman of God® line is “wonderfully made” from Psalm 139:14, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
The first thing you’ll notice is these items boast a beautiful green and blue color palate. The use of watercolors allows each item to be feminine without being fluffy.
The Woman of God® products are available at several different price-points.
The devotion books, pen and bookmark sets, beaded bookmarks, and spa sets would all make great take-home gifts for every woman in your congregation or as a favor for each woman attending your event.
The 64-page full-color devotion book is my favorite choice for a take-home gift. Packed with 25 devotional readings, the authors highlight related scripture passages and end each reading with a prayer starter. Its compact size allows your busy women to slip it into their purse so they can do their devotions on-the-go.
Each week’s readings have a specific focus:
- Wonderfully Made
- Wonderfully Made… for Love
- Wonderfully Made… for Joy
- Wonderfully Made… for Service
- Wonderfully Made… for Witness
The authors provide powerful reminders of God’s Truths that our women need.

It’s fun, but not overly girly, and God’s Word is featured on the front. You could even slide a $5 gift card inside the tumblers or fill them with a handful of wrapped chocolates.
If, like me, your team is struggling to settle on just one item for all of your women, purchase a selection and let them choose one they love.
Any of these items would also make for great door prizes for an event. Prepackage them in the coordinating gift bags for a sweet surprise or fill a door prize basket with a variety and let them select the gift they really want!

My heart jumped to see the devotion book. We have a precious 93 year young saint in church. As a Mother’s Day gift to see, I will ask each of the ladies to send me a personal note to this lady and then I will place those notes in the book. Create a lovely gift bag to leave on the church grounds for her daughter to pick up to deliver to her. Well, that is why I would like to win the book. She loves devotionals.

Thanks for the suggestions. Since we usually give each woman a carnation, we are looking at getting a packet of seeds to send through the mail with a bookmark/note. The devotion book looks like it would be very useful and the theme Wonderfully Made is perfect for ALL women no matter their circumstance.
My name is Cathy. I was never blessed with children but have worked with children and youth at church for 36 years. As a “church mom” I’d love the beautiful bag to carry all my items in that kids ask for: tissues, lip balm, (teens) Tylenol—at ballgames, gum, etc!!!

This is a wonderful idea for this year. It has certainly proven to be more different than any of us expected. CTA makes some wonderful retreats and always has great things to go with them, and this is a beautiful set.

These are great idea’s. I have been struggling as to how and what to do to acknowledge the beautiful mom’s in our congregation. Very neat. These are great ideas! I like the tumbler and pen/bookmarks. It is hard to be apart for so long. I love the idea of maube having an opportunity for women to drive to the church to pick.up an item as well.
Thank you, Cyndee. This is a drastically different year. You gave some GREAT ideas in the beginning of this. Right now I am writing notes to each of my ladies (about 26±) with packets of Forget-me-not seeds. We were able to purchase 50 packets via Amazon for about $25. A fun project. I’m not doing these all at once. I want to personalize these.
